In an empire built on silence, truth is treason.
He was meant to die. Instead, the Void returned him with nothing but names to erase. Now within the Pillars of Aeterna, only one presence threatens the silence he intends to become.
N.J. Pflug writes epic fantasy built on structure, consequence, and long-term design. ALL SHALL KNEEL began not with a first chapter, but with an ending a final outcome that demanded to be earned. What started as a hobby brainstorming ideas inspired by years of listening to fantasy and science fiction gradually became something more deliberate. After revisiting favorite series multiple times, N.J. Pflug found himself increasingly interested in how stories were constructed: how early decisions echoed later, how seemingly small moments reshaped entire arcs, and how endings could transform everything that came before them.
The saga was built backward from its conclusion. Each event, system, and turning point exists in service of a larger trajectory. While immersive and engaging on a first read, the series is intentionally layered with details that take on new meaning in hindsight threads placed carefully, connections that only fully reveal themselves once the broader picture comes into focus. The goal is not confusion, but depth: a story that rewards attention without demanding it.
N.J. Pflug is drawn to disciplined magic systems, political power structures, and narratives where actions carry weight. His work explores what happens when control goes unchallenged and what it costs when balance demands correction. ALL SHALL KNEEL is a planned saga with a defined path from beginning to end.
He believes the most satisfying stories are not improvised. They are built.

Kian was meant to die. Instead, the Void returned him.
Forced to relive his memories and hardened by relentless physical and mental torment, pain became an after thought. He came back altered. Disciplined and hollowed of all things that once made him weak, of what made him human. What remains is built for a single purpose. The erasure of that list of names. Not for justice. Not for revenge.
But because he believes finishing it is the only way he will ever be allowed to die. To reach the men responsible for his death, Kian enters the Pillars of Aeterna, a militarized academy where hierarchy is law and power is measured through mastery of Aether. Advancement is earned. Weakness is exposed. There is only one problem. He cannot wield Aether.
In an empire that equates magic with worth, that deficiency should end him before he begins. Instead, it forces him to adapt, relentlessly, physically, strategically. He does not care about reputation. He does not care about approval. He cares about access. Beyond the empire’s borders, the Dirge remain where they have always been: a distant, persistent threat that few truly fear anymore. The empire trusts its strength. Its walls. Its long-standing stability.
Complacency feels like peace, until it isn’t. And as Kian moves through the academy’s rigid structure, something unexpected begins to fracture the control the Void forged inside him. She is a distraction. And for Kian feeling is far more dangerous than any enemy beyond or within the walls.
To finish what was started. Be welcomed to the silence. To finally die..
A power he cannot wield and his humanity that starts to crack the walls so carefully crafted..
Everything.

Power invites consequence.
Silence demands a price.
For generations, that belief has gone unchallenged. But power does not disappear when it is used. It accumulates. What begins within the walls of a militarized academy expands beyond borders long defended and truths long assumed.
Across four planned installments, the saga remains anchored in our main character’s perspective as certainty fractures and consequence gathers. Some civilizations seek to command power. Others learn to fear it. The difference is not morality. It is correction.
The illusion of permanence.
Power and equal reaction
The cost of complacency
Identity caught between opposing forces
Faith versus domination
What happens when balance is ignored
ALL SHALL KNEEL is not a story about overthrowing a tyrant.
It is a story about what power creates when it is never meant to last.
N.J. Pflug approaches epic fantasy with the mind of an architect. Every aspect of All Shall Kneel, from magic systems and political hierarchies to character arcs and narrative turns, is carefully designed to serve a larger story.
